Red Eyed Tree Frog in Tortuguero, Costa Rica.
This photo is of a sleeping red-eyed tree frog. The eyelids allow some light in while the frog sleeps so that it can quickly respond to any potential predators by suddenly opening and bugging out its' bright red eyes.
