Red Sun in Smokey Sky
The wildfires on the western side of the country, as well as ones closer to home, near Santa Fe and in Colorado, filled the sky with smoke and dimmed the light from the sun, turning it into what looked like a glowing red marble, sinking slowly below the horizon.
