Red Tails’ Legacy
An F-16 “Fighting Falcon” (aka Viper) from the Alabama Air National Guard’s 187th Fighter Wing and the Commemorative Air Force’s P-51 “Mustang” named “Tuskegee Airmen” fly in a “Heritage Flight” formation. Both aircraft are painted with red tails to pay homage to the famed all-African-American, 332nd Fighter Group, better known as the Tuskegee Airmen or Red Tails.
