On the evening of the super moon, the National Park Service posted a full moon hike at Theodore Roosevelt Island. You park in Arlington, Virginia, but once you step on the foot bridge, you are in Washington, DC. This Island is now all forest with a monument for Teddy Roosevelt, but back in the day it was home to Native Americans, then became beautiful estate for John Mason, a place to train soldiers, etc.
