Remembrance Wall in Ajijic

Ajijic is a town in the north side of Chapala Lake in Central Mexico. Ajijic is a local touristic town with many holidays that has attracted a large population or retired Americans. Many of the walls in the town are decorated with murals and friezes that commemorate different holidays. The wall in the picture, "Muro de los Muertos", is decorated with skulls in the style of the Day of the Death celebration. Each skull features the name of the person it conmemorates in the forehead, which are noticeably a blend of typical Mexican and American names.
