Restoring a forest
Sometimes the trees have been harvested in logging operations. Sometimes they are lost to forest fire. The goal of the tree planter is to restore the forest one tree at a time. Using a hoedad, the earth is opened to receive a seedling; the soil pressed gently closed. The planter hopes some day to see a forest growing there.
