18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
Return To Africa

Ikon Shepherd said the main idea of this project is to help the diasporans discover the beutiful image and culture we have in Africa,so they can also have some memories of coming into the continent and stay connect and always wanting to return and support.Because some white folks think Africa is a jungle and he can change that perception through this body of works for global consumption. After the release of this project African Americans can boldly wear things made from Africa, and knows how to blend the Western culture with African influence attached to it to suit into any community that they goes.So people can start patronizing things made from here and our local creatives can also start to cash out some money for their families to make a good living for themselves. That's all the album is talking about, get it and lets support Africa.
