"Richie" the alpha male at the Semeggoh Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, Sarawak, Borneo

The Semeggoh Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre is situated outside of the city of Kuching, in Sarawak, Borneo. Here, the Orang Utans that were found injured, orphaned, or previously kept as illegal pets are being nurtured to readapt to life in the forest. A chance to see these magnificent creatures, ranging from youngsters to middle aged mothers to mature alpha males, such as Richie, in their natural habitat is an invaluable life -and photographic - experience.
