London is a city of millions of people and therefore millions of stories. When I take photos including people as subjects it's my job to tell just a few of those stories. This photo for me does that like no other photo I have taken. The people in frame were an elderly couple who despite the diabolical weather had decided to take a walk with each other around Southbank at night. After me and my friend Bobby who was also with me had finished capturing this scene we went up to them to show them what we had captured and they mentioned it was the women's birthday and that they always walk around london on her birthday taking photos on a instax camera to collect memories. I loved this so I offered to send the image to her once I had edited it. In her words it made her day. It remains one of my favorite ever photos I have captured.
