This picture depicts a White Tiger jumping out of the water after a refreshing swim. The natural species of tigers can be found in India and Nepal, more specifically Bhutan and Bangladesh. They naturally reside in grasslands, forests and mangroves. They mainly prey on Buffalo, deer and wild pigs and live up to 10 to 15 years in the wild. White tigers are not a different sub species of tigers and are also not albino, in fact the reason they have a white coat and blue eyes is because of a genetic mutation which is recessive. Thus they are unable to camouflage very well which is ironic as tigers kill by stealth. This got me thinking, if the white tigers are able to overcome its genetic mutation and be efficient hunters through perseverance and determination, we can all push and overcome our own problems in life if we are willing to come to terms with ourselves and put in that extra effort. Furthermore, another thought that came to mind would be being different. The “tiger”, a metaphor has raised its head from the dark shadows having realised its plight and is ready to take on the world.
