An elephant crosses the Mara River. It was a sweltering hot day and the wildlife was somewhere in the shade; all except for one elephant that ventured across the Mara River stopping halfway to take a drink. Seeing this photo gives me a sense of place I can almost feel the heat, smell the forest, and hear the elephant sloshing through the water.
