13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Mobile
Roaming through the streets of China Town among the many tourists and for once I wasn't one.
It was only my third day living in San Francisco, a remarkable city filled with opportunities. I always envisioned myself out here exploring new surroundings. Being in a unfamiliar city, being all on my own, being independent, it felt exhilarating.
