On August 12, 2017 Nazi's and the Ku Klux Klan were among many white supremacist groups that participated in the deadly Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, VA. Four years later on July 10, 2021 the monument of Robert E. Lee that ignited the rally was removed from its pedestal.
