Roça Água Izé
This picture was taken in the town of Água Izé, in São Tomé and Príncipe. The biggest hospital during colonial time, known for its impressive staircase, the most famous building in Água Izé is now crumbling down. Only but a shadow of what it once was, the hospital is today inhabited by dozens of families which, living under poor conditions, try to make ends meet with what they can harvest from the lands around the building.
