Rocky Mountain Rock Snail on a Rock
Every year in the summer and fall, we find many snail shells in the mountains around our home. Rarely have I seen living snails while I am out and about. This day in the spring was an exception! Not only was the snail out and about, but had posed spectacularly on this rock so I could get an 'eye level' shot. If you look closely, you can see that the snail is out of the shell just the tiniest bit!
