Col du Galibier is a high altitude 2,645 meters above sea level, located in the southern part of the French Alps Dauphiné, on the border of the departments of Savoie / Hautes-Alpes. This is one of the most impressive climbs in all the French Alps. High peaks, glaciers and over two kilometers of vertical climbing from the north side. It is one of the highest mountain passes of the Alps, part of the Route des Grandes Alpes.
