Royal Deer

At the center of the image stands the proud figure of a Deer, positioned with grace and majesty on the roof of the Palazzina di Caccia del Re, in Stupinigi near Turin. This Royal Residence was erected by the Savoy family between 1729 and 1733 and was used for the practice of hunting. The Deer is the symbol of this dwelling and recalls the history of ancient hunting trips, once celebrated in these places, now pacified and made suggestive by the presence of the statue of the noble animal on the roof of the Palazzina.
