“RUNG” DRAG NET IN A SUMMER MORNING

The village of “Rung” drag net in the My Khe coast has been maintained for nearly 200 years. Drag net is a unique method of near-shore fishing, which surrounds a sea area and pulls it ashore to harvest fish. Fishermen here pull net nets all year round and not fixed on any day, often pull on calm sea days, without wind and rely on tidal water. Each team of both men and women pulls the net about 15 people.Rowing basket boat to the sea to release nets is an important stage in the fishing process. The net is more than 1 km from the beach , there are about 10-12 people divided into 2 groups to stand on both sides, pull back and gradually come closer together when the net is brought closer to the shore. Two groups of people on either side pulled the nets to the shore
