The number of motorbikes in Vietnam has increased 48-fold over the last three decades, from 1.2 million in 1990 to over 60 million in 2020, according to the Department of Traffic Safety at the Ministry of Transport, Vietnam. Rush hours in the evening have also been a nightmare for many commuters on a lot of streets in Ha Noi, Vietnam because of so many motorbikes.
