Sacred Gateway

This gate, found near Georgetown Maine, resembles a Japanese gate called a Torii, used in Shintoism to mark the entrance to a sacred area. It seems somehow fitting for this location, where the people are primarily fisherman, that this gate leads to the source of their livelihood.
