Sacrifice

The Mongolian spring festival, Chagan Suruk, is the most solemn festival of the year. Chagan Suluk is a Mongolian word meaning "white herd". Traditionally, the milk of 99 white horses is squeezed out of the herd and placed in a baozhvindur (sacred milk bucket), and then the milk is taken with a nine-eyed spoon and offered to the heavens.
