I took this photograph sometime during the making of Sky Arts Master of Photography 2019, when I was feeling the strain, becoming gloomy, waking up in the early mist and looking to the distances of my surroundings. The idea was to capture a landscape scene - of nature and non-human reality- that could actually characterise and express my very human melancholy.
