Sadhu at Pashupatinath, Nepal
Sadhus are holy men who have given up their wordly possessions and left their families to live an ascetic life. This Sadhu lives in the holy Hindu temple complex of Pashupatinath in Kathmandu, Nepal. Sadhus usually cover their faces with ash and sometimes add colourful paints to their faces and wear saffron coloured robes. The sadhus here cook their own meals in the small areas that they live in. This Sadhu seemed particularly happy and gave me a big smile.
