A sadhu, in Hinduism, is an ascetic who has renounced attachment to all material things with an objective of complete connection with the divine. M.N. became a sadhu at the unusual age of three years old. He was adopted by his grandfather, who was a practicing sadhu, and was indoctrinated into the way of life at a very early age.
