Salamander Strut

While walking my dog on an asphalt paved hill when I saw a little wiggling orange dot on the ground a bit in the distance. Curiously investigating, I saw the dot freeze when I got close. From my understanding it is an Eastern red-spotted newt (and from very basic google understanding it is/also considered a Salamander under scientific classification) and I'm happy it stood still long enough for me to get the shot without my dog snatching it up before going about its day.
