Sally Lightfoot Crab, Galapagos Islands
This particular Galapagos crab lives on the rocky seashore of Santiago Island. Its unusual name "Sally Lightfoot" is rumored to come from a Caribbean dancer, because of the crab's agility and quick movements. The adult crabs are brightly colored, the better to attract mates.
