What truly surprises the visitor - and possibly the photographer more than most - is the stark contrast between the regality, poise and bearing of the people and their homes which are usually constructed by a combination of branches, discarded cardboard and plastic sheeting tied together by wire and rope. Seeing this woman coming out of the hut behind her was truly a revelation.
