My Sand Forms series stems from my continuing exploration of a few beaches near my home in Southern New Jersey, USA. Over the last few years I have been fascinated by the sand forms or designs created by the changing of the tides. In particular the time before and after low tide. At this time the water is still moving in or out giving a sense of motion around the sand. I like to visit near sunset so that the light isn't so harsh in the shadows, but if there is a storm in area I will pop in my truck and head down as well.
