It was an unplanned trip to the Reifel bird sanctuary in Delta, BC. My shooting buddy and myself were unsuccessful looking for eagles out in the open bay. He had to leave but I decided to check this place out upon his recommendation. I was not disappointed, among the many species it was the sandhill crane that got my attention. i was literally mesmerized. this is a tighter crop of the original photo in order to focus on the beauty of its eye and plumage.
