100,000 Sandhill Cranes fly and roost in Wisconsin for 2-3 months during the fall migration. There are spectacular viewing opportunities in the cornfields and along the Wisconsin River. They spend a couple weeks fattening up for the rest of their arduous journey to warmer southern states like Florida, Georgia, Alabama, the Carolinas.
