I walked to the beach to meet some friends and we saw many sandpipers, so naturally I went to take a photo. I took many but I was never satisfied with the composition or the lighting. We hung out for a very long time and eventually light clouds came in. This gave a very neutral and creamy light to the scene and this is when I decided to capture the shot.
