Every grain of sand

The Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes of Death Valley stretch ethereally between the mountains rising steeply on either side. As I looked out over the vast expanse of golden yellow, I was struck by how something so immense could be made up from grains of sand that are individually so small. And, standing in the middle of this stunning natural phenomenon, I thought that it was just like the world in which we live. While we are each only a tiny grain of sand, together we can create something beautiful.
