19th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Sandstone Falls is a world class waterfall sitting right in my own backyard so to speak. Due to a series of rock islands, you can photograph the falls from the middle of the river, which is 1500 feet wide. This shot is taken about mid-river and emphasizes its width.
