The Sanibel Causeway spans the San Carlos Bay, connecting Sanibel Island with the Florida mainland in Punta Rassa. The 3 mile causeway includes 3 separate two-lane bridge spans, and two man-made causeway islands between them. I took the photo to capture the feeling of massive structural weight and to include the diagonal line of the bridge
