Satellite Image? Nope - Pond Scum
Spring pollen was extremely heavy this year, coating just about every outdoor surface. While on a walk along a nearby pond, I came across a scene that immediately brought to mind an image of wetlands taken from space. In this photograph, you can see how the pollen interacts with water, algae, oak leaves, pine straw and other debris to create an other-worldly view of a very natural, down-to-earth occurrence.
