A rather simple composition, My main goal for this image was to capture the scale of this impressive landscape. A relatively unknown beach on the coast of County Donegal, this is a location very near to my heart, and possibly my favourite place in the world. Taken from a large rock formation further along the beach which juts out into the sea, I was able to compress the landscape, communicating the enormity and unusual nature of this beach. Lastly I chose to frame a small plant growing up through the cracks of the rock to along the border of the image to juxtapose the two different scales.
