Male specimen of Scleromystax barbatus from the Tinguá Biological Reserve, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is possible to observe the sexual dimorphism of the species, with the dorsal and pectoral fins quite elongated and odontodes plates on the side of the snout.
