13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
Scratches and Scars

We all have battle wounds, it matters how we reflect on them. In this photo I am fine with people interpreting it however they want, but my feeling on it is that I have been hurt. Torn down, scratched, and bruised, but I have turned those horrible things into beautiful colors and works of art. All you have to do is look into a persons eyes to see the real person behind the scars. I have always wanted to travel, because I never had and the experience of doing so. Being able to create a photo in a place I have never been and show it to others would not only broaden my horizons but all those who see my work.
