"Zebra stone" is a type of argillite - a fossilized mass of clay formed in a past geological era. Layered structure, differs in color. In this case, the difference in layers is not strong. The stone broke off due to a storm and a landslide near the beach. The edge was smoothed by the surf. The shape resembles a stylized heart.
