White Camargue horses are semi-feral and live on Coastal France, cared for by French cowboys known as the Guardians. I went in the spring of 2023 to spend time photographing and getting to know their caretakers. I walked through water in slippery boots as the Guardians and their herd ran through and around me. Peaks of sun through the clouds reflected on the horses and water. This was the best day ever for this horse-crazy woman.
