Seafair Pirates Conquer Lake Union

The infamous Seattle Seafair Pirates arrive at Gas Works Park, and in a show of force, wave to a seaplane lifting off Lake Union. All while a wedding party gathers for photographs in this iconic setting. In other words, a typical summer afternoon in Seattle. Both the seaplane and the Seafair Pirates have long served Seattle. They are a part of the city's history, which began on the shores of Lake Union, the heart of Seattle.
