16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
seen/unseen
As a photographer, my eyesight is increasingly problematic - with astigmatism and blurred vision, this photo is a commentary on how I perceive I am seen in the world - if I cannot see it clearly, it cannot see me. The veil represents the mist through which i often peer through with astigmatic mists and halos. I show only the left eye in this self portrait as it is the most troublesome.
