Self-emancipation?
The beach in Aqaba, Jordan is crowded with local residents enjoying the cool water and underwater richness of a healthy coral reefs. This photograph was taken at sunset on a blazing warm September day. It shows a traditional woman, that can not go into the water in a bathing suit, taking the liberty to expose her beauty in front of her own mobile camera. I think this photo tells a lot about who we are and the enormous role photography plays in each and everyone of our lives. I called it "Self-emancipation?" because the origin of this word derives from the French meaning "detaching from the hand".
