I was invited to photograph the big Line Dance party during the Hansa Sail festival in Rostock this year in August. I was astonished to see how popular American Line Dancing was in former Communist East German Republic. Most dancers were older than 30, which might hint to the fact that they were secretly dancing before the Iron curtain fell down. This we will never know. I was also astonished to discover how sensual older people can they let themselves be on an open dancing floor in front of the giant crowd attracted by the big annual sail boat festival in Rostock. It shows how joy willing and strong the human nature is, young or older, wherever people might find themselves on this planet.
