Sereia Alagoana (Mermaid from Alagoas)
I really thought I had seen a mermaid in the Tabatinga River in Porto de Pedras (Alagoas, Brazil). The main religious entity in the region is the mermaid because the locals used to get confused with the tail of the manatee (peixe-boi).
