I've been saving for half a decade to go to Africa. This fall, that dream came to fruition. I booked a safari in the Serengeti, which entailed a long drive from the hub of Arusha, through different cities and parks, to the Eastern side of the Serengeti. We had been in the car all day and were a little hungry and a little tired (albeit delighted to be there), and then the sun started going down and I felt like we were in a movie. The sun dipped behind an Acacia tree, resulting in that stereotypical background that I shamelessly have on my own desktop.
