It lies between the Japanese main island of Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. Its calm waters stretch over 400 kilometers from Osaka to Kitakyushu and include some 3000 islands, many of which are inhabited. My hometown Hiroshima is surrounded by this island sea so I always think about it when it comes to the sea. Since I travelled to many places in Japan and other countries, I get to realize how mild and quiet the Seto island Sea is in comparison with other seas. And I love its unique relaxed atmosphere. You'll see it is really nice to be near.
