This is a photograph of a beautiful woodpecker bird in Colorado. I wanted to really capture the somber and silent moment in all of the movements of a woodpecker. I wanted this photograph to represent the "quiet" of such an intensely "loud" bird. This photograph was not originally in black and white, although it truly wasn't far off, but I thought it would be an important feature of this picture.
