We woke up at around 4 in the morning in order to make it in time to Deadvlei before sunrise. I was down on the clay soil already preparing my shots mentally when the sun peaked above the dunes surrounding Deadvlei. It was a beautiful yet eerie spectacle. The perfectly aligned dead trees against the sand dunes with their branches going in different directions looked like dancers. The stream of light behind them gave the whole scene more depth.
