14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
"Shadow Play"
I wanted to create a piece that captures a split second in time to allow viewers entrance into a magical world that would otherwise go unseen. The cat is diving both from and into the enchanting light & shadow of Santa Fe New Mexico and onward into the narrative ambiguity of the looking glass!
